Create nicer drop shadows in After Effects with the Highline script
Highline gives you the power to create nicer looking drop shadows in After Effects all with the touch of a button. Simply select the layers you want to apply a shadow to, select the type of shadow you need and hit go! In moments you'll have an effect that's miles better than the standard after effects drop shadow.
Customise the look and feel of the drop shadows you create, adjust the spacing of the hatch, add a slight fade, change the distance, experiment to see what works!
Works with all layer types
Apply to text, shape layers, illustrator files and any other layer you could apply the default drop shadow After Effects tool to.
In need of a hatched drop shadow font? Just pick a regular font and add a hatched drop shadow right within After Effects instead!
Add global shadow controls
The highline script also allows you to add a global control layer for all the drop shadows you create. Just select the global shadow option and a control layer will be automatically created for you.

How do I use my licence key?
Once you have installed your script you will be prompted to enter your licence key. Copy and paste the full licence key into the text box and press the "Activate" button.

Before you install any of the Loop scripts you have to enable the "Allow Scripts to Write Files and Access Network" setting.
Go to: Edit > Preferences > Scripting & Expressions and make sure the "Allow Scripts to Write Files and Access Network" checbox is ticked.
Please note: An active internet connection is also required for verification.

Where is my licence key?
Your licence key is sent to you via email. It is also available via the script's product page in your Lemon Squeezy Orders.
Why do I keep being asked to provide my licence key?
Each licence allows you to use the script on a set number of workstations. For example: the solo licence allows you to use the script on two workstations at a time.
If you or someone else tries to use the script on a third computer then the first person who registered the script will be logged out and you will need to provide the key again.
If you need access to the script from more than two workstations either purchase another individual licence, or subscribe to a team licence.
My licence key isn't working
Please try all of the following before sending an email:
- Make sure you're inputting the full and exact licence key without any extra spaces at the start or end.
- Please check you are actively connected to the internet.
- Try temporarily disabling any firewalls or anti-virus software. Remember to re-enable them afterwards.
